Tech Tours: How Audio Headsets Enhance the Cvent CONNECT Experience
Communicating the features and functionalities of event software isn’t always easy, especially when it’s intended to provide experiential results.
Cvent, the largest event and hospitality technology company in the world, has overcome this challenge.
To help demonstrate their technology and provide in-depth education on all aspects of event planning, Cvent hosts the Cvent CONNECT convention each year. Implecho has attended this event for multiple years and has seen it from both sides, both behind the scenes while helping with communication headsets and from the public view. They definitely pull out all the stops to make it a premiere experience for "Cventers."
Thousands of attendees from around the world participate in educational sessions, attend exhibitor booths, and network with other event professionals. They also get to see Cvent technology in action while participating in a tech tour of the expansive venue.
What are tech tours and how does Cvent pull them off amid the loud, bustling environment of a major convention? Implecho’s audio solutions and our team of onsite experts play a key role. Keep reading to learn more.
What Is a Tech Tour?
Cvent CONNECT not only provides attendees with practical inspiration and ideas but also demonstrates how their software enhances experiences throughout the venue.
Tech tours are offered as part of Cvent’s programming and attendees can sign up in their Cvent app or onsite. The tours consist of small groups that are guided throughout the convention halls to see first-hand how everything works, from the registration desk and workshop check-in experience to attendee tracking, hallway readers, expo booth visits and more. Each tour stop helps guests envision how the technology will work for their own events.
Allyson Keenan, Senior Manager, Event Technology & Operations at Cvent, shared how the company’s CEO believes these tours are a "can't miss" because they offer a unique blend of education, engagement, and real-world application.
“The tours are designed to provide deep insights into our technology and event operations,” said Keenan. “They showcase not just what we do, but how and why we do it. This immersive experience helps attendees connect the dots between theory and practice, making the knowledge they gain more impactful and long-lasting.”
Overcoming the Challenge of Loud Environments
With Cvent’s tech tours, seeing is believing. But so is hearing. Not surprisingly, the halls of a convention are loud, making it difficult for tour guests to hear important messages.
To make the tours interactive, Cvent equips participants with two-way audio headsets from Implecho. Our technology allows for real-time communication between the guide and attendees, fostering a dynamic and engaging dialogue. Participants can ask questions and receive immediate answers, making the experience more personalized and impactful for everyone on the tour.
